-The book is written at the level of my students. It is very simple and easy to understand. The text is not long and very clear. The book would be easily understood read aloud, but maybe not for independent reading.,

-There are no multicultural components in this book. No references to any cultures are made in the text or pictures. I would say the only possible stereotype made in the book is towards genders. There are only “boy” or “girl” colors used for males and females.

No. The book is not free from gender bias. The main character in the story is a boy and is always dressed in blue and has many masculine attributes. When there is a female character she is wearing pink or a bow in her hair. The book focuses mainly towards males.
