Yes, this book fosters the development of processes because you can see how the seasons change and progress.

Does the book provide an opportunity for children to ask and answer their own questions?

It will answer most questions that the students have, but it could go more in depth. This book would allow students to ask more questions because it might make the students wonder what other seasons look like and how they might compare to Autumn.

Does the book encourage children to think for themselves?

This book does a good job of making students think to themselves because the students could be asking themselves "have I seen this? why haven't I?". I think because there are so many different images in the book that students will feel as if they are inside of the book which wil encourage them to think for themselves.

Is the science topic addressed in ways that are appropriate to the lesson?

This depends on the teacher. They talk about a lot of different elements of the season of Autumn which allows the teacher to go more in deptht with whatever he or she decides to do, but the opportunity is there for the teacher to address what he or she may what to do.
