This book provides many opportunities for students to pause and ask questions. The book asks many rhetorical questions that can be researched and throughout. In addition, this book could have students provide hypothesis before starting to read about each predator.

I believe this book encourages children to think for themselves because they are learning about creatures that they most likely have never heard of. If they have heard of the underwater predator, then they are most likely to learn something new.

The topic is appropriate, interesting and engaging. This book could be an extension off of a lesson.

The scientific principles are evident in this book. Each chapter is filled with facts, pictures and thoughts regarding the predator. The principles are accurate.

This book is factual because it is based on research of these animals.

Yes they are mostly pictures of the predator or their habitat that they live in.

My 5th grade students enjoy this book because it provides them with many questions and strengthens their curiosity about the sea.

This book is not involving cultures, or people therefore it is not very multicultural. There are no evident stereotypes.

Yes this book is free from gender bias' that arise.

This book shows a close association between science and history and how they can be included together. The book is factual so the students could be researching their historical side of the novel and using their scientific side by making predictions and studying the habits etc of the predators.

This book could include more technology however, it does not provide many options for it.
