Yes, throughout the book there is facts that are stated for each animal teeth. This allows  for the students to ask questions about the animals even ask questions beyond the simple questions. Yes, the book has both photos and illustrations. The photos are accurate as well as the illustrations.

Yes, this book is an appropriate level for students grades 1-3. The book does include vocabulary words that maybe challenging to the student like chisels, iron, tusk, venom, bulbs, and enamel. However, it does provide context clues for the students to be able to find the meaning of the word.

Unfortunately no, the book stereotypes certain groups to certain face features of an animal. Also, the book associates certain activities with a certain group of people.
